Vaco Atlanta is sourcing a Cost Analyst for one of our fastest growing clients in the industrial / distribution sector. We are looking for a candidate with cost or pricing experience in a related industry with SAP ERP experience a must for this role. This role is targeted at $85K - $95K plus bonus upon conversion and will start out as a contract-to-hire position for an initial 3-6 month "test period".

An added benefit is that this is a fully remote role and you can work full-time in your home time zone (US Candidates only).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily product costing activities, ensuring system data accuracy (BOMs, routings, etc.) and rolling costs in SAP
  • Partner with Purchasing to confirm accurate pricing for new purchased parts and materials
  • Oversee month-end close activities, including timely submission of queries and preparation of journal entries
  • Prepare weekly reporting on key plant metrics, including raw materials, components, WIP, and other operational data
  • Support the review and analysis of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly operating results
  • Review system documentation to ensure completeness, consistency, and accuracy of costs across product families
  • Assist with annual standard cost updates, including variance analysis, cost fluctuation research, and recommendations for resolution
  • Perform related cost and pricing analyses. Communicate with stakeholders and make recommendations to optimize profitability.
  • Maintain strong accounting controls and audit compliance while supporting projects, assignments, and cross-functional costing initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance. MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cost or pricing analyst (or closely related) in an industrial environment.
  • SAP ERP experience is required
  • Advanced Excel skills to include macros or power pivots which will be tested by our client. Power BI experience is a big plus
  • Experience with costing or pricing software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional stakeholders
