This position is part of a unionized bargaining unit. The hourly wage for this position starts at $16.60 and is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether starting or higher, will fall within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Unload deliveries and organize products in the backroom or cooler.
  • Restock shelves with new inventory, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
  • Rotate stock (first-in, first-out method).
  • Keep aisles, shelves, and the overall store clean and tidy.
  • Sweep and mop floors as needed.
  • Handle spills promptly and ensure the store is safe for customers.
  • Help customers find specific products or answer questions about items.
  • Provide recommendations and offer assistance with shopping needs.
  • Occasionally assist with helping customers put groceries into their vehicle
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
  • Occasionally receive product and ensure the invoice is accurate.
  • Set up and maintain promotional displays and end caps.
  • Ensure that displays are visually appealing and well-organized.
  • Update signage and price tags as needed
