This role ensures the continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance of our fleet through rigorous oversight, analysis, and coordination with internal teams and regulatory authorities. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for safety, compliance, and operational excellence, we’d love to meet you. </p> <p><strong>Essential Roles & Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with the Sun Country Airlines Airworthiness Directive Management Process as outlined in the Sun Country General Maintenance Manual (GMM)</li> <li>Review all Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Notices of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRMs) for applicability and initiate scheduling as required</li> <li>Ensure timely review of TRAX Engineering Controls and Task Cards related to applicable ADs</li> <li>Maintain the database of all ADs and NPRMs in accordance with GMM requirements</li> <li>Monitor all aspects of AD compliance and promptly report any delinquent items to the Director of Quality Control / Quality Assurance - Chief Inspector</li> <li>Conduct Audits and Quality Assurance on AD Controls. Oversee internal audits of AD setups and tracking within M&E systems</li> <li>Monitor, refine, and modify processes and procedures related Airworthiness Directive Tracking and Processing section of the Sun Country Airlines GMM</li> <li>Assess OEM Service Bulletins (SBs) for potential upcoming ADs and propose proactive actions</li> <li>Submit proposed process changes to the Director Technical Operations Engineering for review and approval</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of experience in airline maintenance programs or engineering</li> <li>Minimum of three to five years of experience working with Airworthiness Directives</li> <li>Minimum of three to five years of experience researching and interpreting CFRs and other FAA documentation (ACs, ADs, Orders, Notices, FAA Handbooks) </li> <li>Minimum of three to five years of experience working with complex M&E software systems for AD control and tracking </li> <li>Strong knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, Advisory Circulars, FAA Orders, Notices, and Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS) </li> <li>Experience working directly with the FAA</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated, in depth expertise in configuring and optimizing TRAX Engineering Schedule Controls, with a strong understanding of how control functions interact and influence one another within TRAX.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>$95,000-120,000.00.
