Position Purpose Under the direction of the HR Director, the Region HR Manager will be accountable for providing the full range of Human Resources support to assigned businesses and/or functional groups. The Region Human Resources Manager is responsible for day-to-day HR management activities including Employee Relations, Policy Interpretation & Implementation and Performance Management. In addition, the Region HR Manager will support and implement corporate related projects, processes, and initiatives. The Region HR Manager will partner, consult, and contribute to business unit decisions and strategy and translate these strategies into tangible HR priorities while ensuring the business and/or functional group is compliant with all applicable laws and National Express policies. This is a remote position but requires travel to various locations. Responsibilities • Providing remote and occasional on-site HR support, guidance, and training to employees, staff, and management teams within a specified region on range of HR issues and practices; • Initiating and implementing Human Resources programs to achieve business objectives and ensure HR support for internal customers; • Investigating and resolving various employment matters including internal employee complaints, hot-line issues, EEOC, Human Rights Commission, Wage and Hour, and other in conjunction with Labor Relations and Legal Department; • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws; • Supports the recruitment process for multiple locations; • Guiding the performance management and performance appraisal process; • Promoting employee engagement and a positive work environment; • Assisting with the development and delivery of employee or management training; • Building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with internal and external customers; • Conducting special projects as requested. • Other duties as assigned Company Name Is Durham School Services The salary range is $95,000 - $110,000 annually. Qualifications Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree required; PHR or SPHR Certification preferred • 7-10 years of professional Human Resources experience • Multi-site experience required; ability to provide guidance and training from a remote location • Experience responding to EEOC, Human Rights Commission, Wage & Hour, and other types of employee claims required • Strong working knowledge of Human Resources practices and principles with significant knowledge of laws and regulations affecting employment • Experience recruiting for high-volume positions • Effective presentation skills and the ability to assist in the development and delivery of employee or management training • Experience initiating and implementing Human Resources programs to achieve business objectives and ensure HR support for internal customers • Must possess leadership and collaborative skills with demonstrated ability to build partnerships with internal and external customers • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and HR systems • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills • Experience with change management • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail • Creative, innovative, and flexible mindset • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Well-developed time management skills • Utmost professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality • Must have the ability to travel up to 40%, at times with little to no notice Summit School Services has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with its policies and values, including sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination.
