SALES (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER)

ENTACT is actively seeking an a Business Development Manager in the environmental remediation and geotechnical construction industry.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager is motivated to build a career and help expand the market share for ENTACT’s environmental remediation and geotechnical construction services. This associate will identify key clients and decision makers, participate in risk evaluation, and evaluate business opportunities which successfully leverage the company's extensive capabilities. This will include key responsibility for qualifying and vetting opportunities, evaluating and assessing risk and reward, and participating in risk evaluation and go/no-go decision making. In addition, this position will help clients to understand needs and restrictions and develop strategic teaming partnerships and joint ventures, where applicable. This associate requires a strategic-minded, technically astute, self-motivated business development leader with knowledge of the company’s core services and markets and the competitive landscape to increase revenue and market share. This associate can be based out of any of our regional offices, hybrid, or remote basis.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Researching target demographics, economic trends, customer needs and interests, and other data that can be used in creating strategies for business development.
  • Overseeing efforts to expand lead generation through cold calling, business-to-business selling, and other methods to identify potential business prospects.
  • Building relationships with existing customers, investors, and partners through consistent follow up, reliable communication, and frequent updates on service developments.
  • Presenting sales pitches, service reports, and other valuable data to potential prospects in a way that promotes the company brand and mission and helps the audience identify a need for the service.
  • Collaborating with professionals from other departments to identify service improvements, modifications, or changes that could enhance overall performance and attractiveness
  • Maintaining a high volume of activity such as prospecting emails, calls, meetings, presentations, and webinars.
  • Maintaining and advancing a pipeline of leads over an extended, multi-year sales cycle via research and follow-up.
  • Will require as much travel as the associate determines is needed to be successful.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of environmental remediation, geotechnical construction, sediment remediation and related services.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with key decision makers.
  • Intimate knowledge of the market opportunities with the ability to identify, qualify, vet, and win key project pursuits which have synergy with the company’s growth strategy and risk profile.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to senior management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong track record demonstrating sound ethics, integrity, and judgement.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Keen negotiator and creative problem solver.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Job success often hinges upon interpersonal communication and relationship development skills, and job tasks require frequent interchange, and successful completion depends in large part upon effective interaction and communication with others.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Work Environment
The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting.
