SPECIAL EDUCATION SUPPORT AIDE - High School

Location: Center Line High School

Salary: $12.56 - $13.29/Hourly - In accordance with the AFSCME Local 3154 Master Agreement

Reports To: Immediate Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • Basic knowledge of office machines
  • Typing ability helpful
  • Artistic ability helpful

Length of Day: 5.75 hours per day

Category: E

Classification: VII

Length of Work Year: 192 Days - 11 Paid Holidays

DESCRIPTION:

  • Demonstrate effective working relationships with children, teachers, and the community Demonstrate comprehension and organization ability
  • Work with children with special needs
  • Organize materials for assignments under the direction of the teacher Type correspondence, purchase orders, reports, files, etc.
  • Perform duplication services Maintain files
  • Assist in student testing
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
