We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><span class="emphasis">The Role</span></b></p><p>As a <b>Team Lead for Database <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Operations/Infrastructure</span></b>, you'll be supporting a health insurance / healthcare services account. </p><p></p><p>As DB2 Team Lead you will lead a global team and be responsible for comprehensive mainframe DB2 systems management, including the installation and maintenance of IBM DB2 for z/OS and associated third-party products, with close coordination alongside IBM and vendor partners to resolve defects, issues, and usage inquiries.</p><p></p><p>The team is comprised of DBA and DB resources:  5 based in India, 5 based in US. </p><p></p><p><b>Scope of responsibilities include the following</b>:</p><ul><li>Global Team Leadership</li><li><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Installation/maintenance</span> of IBM DB2 z/OS software and related 3rd-party products.  This includes working with IBM and other vendors to address product defects, issues, and usage questions.</li><li>Managing and leading all BAU activities (break/fix, incidents, 7x24 support, crit-sits, RCA’s, database maintenance, etc.).</li><li>Configuration of DB2 groups and subsystems in SYSPLEX data-sharing environment, supporting mainframe DB2 applications.</li><li>Perform problem analysis and resolution for mainframe DB2 system related issues.</li><li>Responsible for the DB2 subsystem availability, backup and recovery strategies and procedures, including DR tests.</li><li>Coordinate / support DB resources for critical project activities, prioritizing work.</li><li>Monthly IPL support of all mainframe LPARS and a portfolio of BAU / SOW projects.</li><li>Maintain the DB2 Catalog, Directory and other DB2 system objects.</li><li>Documentation of policies and procedures.</li><li>Provide secondary support for the DBA staff on DB2 subsystem issues.</li><li>Security services in regard to systems support role for DB2.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your Future at Kyndryl </b></p><p>Every position at Kyndryl is an opportunity to be part of something bigger. Most importantly, you understand that the most successful teams trust and enjoy each other and are naturally inclusive in how you work with others.</p><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>10+ years of IBM System Z experience and concepts, with considerable knowledge in the following:<ul><li>SMP/E</li><li>IBM DB2 Tools, BMC DB2 Tools and Broadcom DB2 Tools</li><li>FLASH technology, DASD replication techniques and DB2 Forward Recovery</li><li>z/OS Storage management</li><li>RACF security management w/DB2</li><li>Coupling Facility</li><li>Networking concepts (IP, SNA)</li></ul></li><li>Proven ability to lead and manage all business-as-usual (BAU) activities such as break/fix support, incident management, 7x24 operations, critical situations, root cause analysis, and database maintenance.</li><li>Highly skilled in configuring DB2 groups and subsystems within SYSPLEX data-sharing environments to support complex mainframe applications, performing in-depth problem analysis and resolution for DB2 system-related issues, and ensuring overall DB2 subsystem availability.</li><li>Extensive experience defining and executing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies, including DR testing, as well as coordinating and prioritizing DB2 resources for critical project initiatives.</li><li>5+ years IBM DB2 experience, with advanced knowledge in the following:<ul><li>Bufferpool/memory management</li><li>DB2 internal structures (RID, EDM, BPs, etc.)</li><li>DB2 Data Sharing <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">configuration/management</span></li><li>Tablespace/Page structures</li><li><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Backup/recovery/logging</span> facilities and strategies</li><li>DB2 locking</li><li>ZPARMS</li><li>DB2 tracing/IFCIDs</li></ul></li><li>Experience in problem determination and analysis</li><li>Analytical / critical / “outside-the-box” thinking in problem solving, especially in possible critical, high-pressure situations.</li></ul><p></p><p>The compensation range for this position in the US is $100,080 to $190,080 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience.<span>  </span>For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.<span>  </span>The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city, or local minimum wage requirement.</p><p></p><p>This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans.<span>  </span>You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave and paid time off.<span>  </span>Note: if this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
