Location: Wichita, KS<br><br><strong>Job Purpose<br><br></strong>The Software Developer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains secure, reliable, and scalable web applications. This role engages in the full software development lifecycle—from conception through deployment—while collaborating within an Agile/Scrum team to deliver high-quality solutions that support business objectives.<br><br><strong>Duties & Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times. </li><li>Design, build, deliver, and maintain modern web and API-based software solutions.</li><li>Develop and maintain RESTful and secure APIs for system integrations.</li><li>Participate in project planning, estimation, and activities following Agile and Scrum methodologies.</li><li>Utilize GitHub best practices for version control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.</li><li>Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.</li><li>Design, build, and maintain SQL databases and ensure overall application stability, security, and performance.</li><li>Implement and support deployments to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues across environments (development, staging, and production) to maintain system reliability and uptime.</li><li>Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues within existing codebases.</li><li>Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by re-architecting or refactoring them into modern web solutions.</li><li>Write and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and integration guides.</li><li>Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code to ensure quality and maintainability.</li><li>Contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of enterprise-level applications.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and promote best practices in development, scalability, and system architecture.</li><li>Adhere to company policies, maintain a professional attitude.</li><li>Other duties as needed or assigned. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field ( or equivalent experience) strongly preferred. </li><li> 2-4+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of building and delivering complex websites and web applications.</li><li>Programming Languages & Frameworks: Proficient in multiple web development technologies, including PHP, JavaScript, Laravel, and OctoberCMS.</li><li>Proven experience managing and maintaining relational databases in cloud environments, such as Google Cloud.</li></ul>
