Internship Opportunity At Dhl Global Forwarding

We offer a one-year training contract for you to apply all your knowledge in the best company in the sector and continue training to be a logistics professional of the future.

At DHL Global Forwarding, we are looking for a person for our Barcelona (Parc Logistics) offices who is interested in this sector and has also finished their formal studies less than 3 years ago (essential requirement to make a training contract). A copy of the degree or the fee receipt will be requested to formalize the contract.

What do we expect from you throughout this year of training contract?

· Receive the customer's order

· Present the customs clearance (commercial invoice, packing list, and certifications)

· Pass to the customs agent of the DHL office from which the ship leaves the data of this and the customs documentation

· Check if the destination of the goods requires special customs documents, to prepare them and send them to the corresponding country.

· Compile the BL (instructions for loading) to send to the shipping company

· Wait for the ship's departure and confirm with the shipping company the departure

· Send the documentation according to the customer's requirements

· Ensure, if the customer does its own customs clearance, that it has sent the DUA to the shipping company.

· Instruct the invoicing to the customer

· Any other additional function related to the job position

Competencies and skills:

· Theoretical knowledge of the maritime industry

  • Intermediate or Higher Degree in International Trade or Transport and Logistics, preferably
  • Have finished official degree less than 3 years ago, and have not done a previous work contract in practice linked to that degree

· Strong analytical and communication skills.

· Result orientation and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excel handling and ease of learning computer tools
  • Medium level of English (it is desirable to have more level or other languages, but not essential)
  • Native / C2 level of Spanish
  • Willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail
