The Senior Director of Content Strategy is the leader of all things content: from conceptualization to execution and reporting, you will be responsible for guiding the strategy and delivering results across our entire content marketing approach. Summary The Senior Director of Content Strategy will provide leadership and guidance to the global content team. The primary measure of success for this role is the contribution to pipeline and revenue, as well as the implementation of a measurable framework to drive positive results for important brand metrics such as organic traffic, reach, and share of voice. This role will take ownership of all aspects of the content marketing strategy, from ideation to implementation and reporting. The Senior Director of Content Strategy collaborates across the organization to identify opportunities for content marketing that effectively communicates the Workiva perspective. What You’ll Do • Lead the entire Workiva-owned media strategy and customer-facing perspective, develop a comprehensive social media strategy • Build an exhaustive company-wide global editorial strategy, aligning content delivery with the entire identified buying journey • Direct and develop the content marketing team, managing for both efficiency and scalability • Collaborate closely with the public relations team and agency partners to communicate and educate on monthly editorial objectives and topics • Structure the content team operationally to address critical content marketing areas, including content lead programs, promotional and paid media, sales enablement, and influencer contributions • Establish performance goals mapped to key brand-building and demand generation metrics • Partner with in-house creative, demand generation, product marketing, and marketing operations teams to contribute to campaign development, sales-enabling assets, and marketplace awareness of Workiva • Implement an efficient content development process that maximizes resource capacity • Develop and execute a holistic approach that covers multiple solutions and buyer personas • Maintain consistency with the Workiva brand, tone, and voice; provide an editorial perspective when crafting high-level campaign themes, and produce content alongside subject-matter experts (SMEs) and external resources • Create a framework to drive decision-making for content development and syndication. • Identify new opportunities through A/B testing of content assets, such as landing pages, email campaigns, and messaging. Adopt an iterative approach to develop repeatable processes and success What You’ll Need: Minimum Qualifications: Education: • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field Experience: • 12+ years experience of progressive responsibility in business-to-business (B2B) tech content marketing programs Preferred Qualifications • 8+ years people management experience preferred • Experience in B2B tech marketing, with a preference for Software as a Service (SaaS) expertise • Experience in defining, launching, and governing scalable solutions that support content strategy • Proven ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis and drive motions to support performance metric efforts • Exceptional listening, communication, and program management skills • Demonstrated success in collaborating and influencing cross-functional leadership teams • A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are preferred • Figma experience a plus • Well documented and ordered portfolio of work How You’ll Be Rewarded ✅ Salary range in the US: $174,000.00 – $296,000.00 ✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually ✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire ✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
