Blue Strout is a Shopify-focused development agency partnering with high-growth eCommerce brands generating 8–9 figures in annual revenue. We’re hiring a Shopify Developer (Shopify Plus / OS 2.0) to join our delivery team and build high-performing storefronts from design to launch. This is an agency environment: fast-moving, high standards, and heavy collaboration. You’ll turn client goals + Figma designs into clean, scalable Shopify code, own deliverables end to end, and communicate clearly with PMs and (occasionally) clients in English. Location: Remote (LATAM-friendly) Time zones: Must work Pacific Time or Eastern Time and maintain 4-5 hours overlap with PT Responsibilities • Build and customize Shopify Plus Online Store 2.0 themes (often using Dawn) • Translate Figma → pixel-perfect Shopify templates (sections, blocks, and page templates) • Build landing pages from templates and Figma files • Configure and implement Shopify Plus features and admin settings (discounts, shipping rules, advanced settings) • Customize checkout and Plus functionality using Shopify Functions (and stay current with Checkout Extensibility) • Implement advanced collection filtering using Tags, Metafields, and MetaObjects • Implement and configure Shopify Plus apps (e.g., ReBuy, YotPo, SYWM, and similar) • Improve performance and SEO: Core Web Vitals, speed optimization, heading structure, canonical/noindex tagging • Implement ADA fixes and build ADA-compliant templates (with guidance from the PM team) • Maintain clean version control workflows using GitHub and collaborate via ClickUp + Slack • Occasionally explain technical constraints/tradeoffs to PMs or stakeholders when needed • Strong English (written + verbal) and excellent communication: quick, detailed Slack/ClickUp updates; can explain solutions clearly. • 3+ years building for Shopify Plus (DTC preferred; $10–50M revenue brands is a plus) • Shopify Plus OS 2.0 themes: can build/customize from scratch and with Dawn; pixel-perfect Figma → storefront • Core build work: landing pages from templates/Figma; performance optimization + Core Web Vitals; SEO template structure (H tags, canonical/noindex); ADA fixes/compliance templates • Plus features: configure admin settings (discounts, shipping, advanced sales); checkout customization with Functions; stay current on Checkout Extensibility + Markets • Data layer/tools: GA4 + Ads tracking + GTM in Shopify and Shopify Checkout • Workflow: GitHub-based theme code management; experience in a Shopify-focused agency; • Able to work US time zones (PST ideal, ET acceptable with overlap) • Work with high-growth eCommerce brands at meaningful scale (8–9 figure revenue range) • High autonomy: we don’t micromanage—ownership and accountability are valued • Clear structure and collaboration: weekly priorities, strong PM + design partnership, supportive dev leadership • Healthy culture and work-life balance: disconnect means disconnect (except true production emergencies) • Long-term opportunity: steady client demand with room to grow into broader ownership over time Original job Shopify Developer /Remote/ Full-Time/ posted on GrabJobs ©.
